Southern States Machinery Tee It Up Fore Fabricators Fundraiser A Success

Mooresville, NC – Southern States Machinery hosted the first annual “Tee It Up Fore Fabricators,” golf outing at the Mooresville Golf Club. Company sales representatives and local fabrication customers teamed up to enjoy a round of golf to help in the fight of labor shortage within the industry.

The 47 golfers enjoyed competitions like longest drive and closest to the pin throughout the 18-hole course. A special thank you to TRUMPF North America, Bend-Tech, Big Steel Rack, HE&M Saw, Ryerson, Imperial Metals, Southern Fabricators, Inc and many other attendees and sponsors for helping raise over $5,000. Thanks to their generosity, Southern States Machinery was able to raise scholarship funds for individuals that will be attending schools and programs dedicated to manufacturing throughout North and South Carolina through the “Making it Work” Fair. This year “Making it Work” will be hosted at the LeGrand Center in Shelby, NC.

“Making It Work” Manufacturing & Engineering Fair exposes our brightest young minds to the wide diversity of job opportunities available in manufacturing operations. High School juniors and seniors will apply and compete to attend the “Making it Work” event. More than 200 students from area high schools will attend this fall event.

“Southern States Machinery is proud to be supporting the future manufactures in the Carolinas and thankful for all the support from our customers, machine builders and sales team,” said Vice President, Bill Plourd.
